Hi, I am Kaegan. I am from Lake City, CO which is beautiful but isolated. We moved to Fort Collins to answer my own S.O.S and hopefully to help others. S is for seeking sense of belonging. O stands for offering hope for the future. And the last S is for surrounding myself with like-minded people.

Thank you for your interest and for working alongside us in this endeavor.

Our Impact

Our foundation is a registered nonprofit dedicated to improving the lives of vulnerable people. We bring together the financial resources of individuals, families, and businesses to support people experiencing a different method of communication or living without communication to voice their needs, opinions, and aspirations.

While our son has been using a letterboard for many years, we did not find our "community" in Fort Collins until CommuniKeys. Our son has told us that he enjoys being with people who don't judge him and who accept him for who he is.  And we feel the same!

I am a proud member of CommuniKeys and I love this place and community so much. They make so many wonderful activities and opportunities accessible for folks like me with autism and/or with other communication-related challenges. This is important to me as I need extra support and want full participation in my community. My purpose and intelligence are always honored at CommuniKeys. I have enjoyed rock climbing, game nights, local hikes and a song writing workshop to name a few of the may amazing activities. The people behind CommuniKeys are what makes it so inclusive and a top-notch place to be. They are compassionate, creative, and presume competence in all community members. I highly recommend CommuniKeys!

Your Support Builds More Than Programs

Communication access creates opportunities for choice and expression.

Participation creates opportunities to practice, contribute, and develop relationships.

Belonging grows when adults are welcomed, known, valued, and able to return to places where they are recognized as members of the community.

Your contribution helps create the scaffolding that makes those experiences possible.

CommuniKeys is committed to using charitable contributions responsibly and maintaining clear public information about our organization.

Our Candid nonprofit profile allows donors, partners, and community members to review information about CommuniKeys and our charitable status.

Other Ways to Support CommuniKeys

Businesses, organizations, and individuals can also support CommuniKeys through sponsorships, donated equipment or materials, professional expertise, community-hosted experiences, and volunteer participation.
