About the event
CommuniKeys is partnering with Colorado Youth Outdoors for a three-part On-the-Go Archery series focused on safe outdoor participation, skill-building, communication access, and scaffolded learning.
This is not a one-time activity. Students are encouraged to attend all three sessions when possible so they can build familiarity with the tools, equipment, safety expectations, and archery process over time.
The first session will serve as a larger introductory experience. We will focus on understanding the equipment, safety rules, range setup, communication expectations, and the overall flow of the activity. Students will have the opportunity to shoot, but the main goal is to assess comfort level, starting skills, support needs, and readiness for the follow-up sessions.
The August sessions will build from that first experience and give students more time for repeated practice, confidence-building, and supported participation.
